Hi all,

I wasn't sure if this forum or Outlook was the best place for this but here goes.

Basically, we have set Exchange up to archive a copy of each email into a Public Folder. The folder is now around 3Gb in size and everytime I try to access it within Outlook it crashes. I cannot therefore even run any rules to filter and delete etc.

Is there anything I can do to access the folder and manage it a little better? I know 3Gb is a lot but why does Outlook (or Exchange) have such a problem in accesssing this info? Both the server and the client are connected via a 1Gb LAN. The Exchange Server is 2000 and I've tried both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2000 clients.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I would try running consistency and integrity checks on the public folder store.

Can you view the contents using OWA?

contents coming up OK in OWA, I haven't tried consistency or integrity checks. Should I, bearing in mind OWA is working? If so, what do I need to read up on to do this?

What do you think?

Cheers

hmm, interesting... now items don't seem to want to come up in OWA, just get a Loading... message!
