This is an interesting delema. We can access the public folders using OWA when connecting to the internet over a cable or dsn connection. However when using OWA when conected to the internet using dial up the public folders can not be accessed. Seems starnge to me, doea anyone out there have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

It could only be related to either weird blocking by the ISP or IP blocking on the virtual folder created under IIS for the public folders.
Are you using NTLM authentication? If so, the chances are that the dial up ISP may be using transparent proxying (which usually doesn't support NTLM passthru) - Change the authentication to BASIC and try again.
If BASIC works you know its the ISP blocking NTLM auth.

However, using BASIC authentication means your credentials are going out unencrypted over the wire. To resolve this either set up a VPN or set up a certificate for SSL.
I'm about to purchase a VERISIGN certificate to do just that, but I havent any experience yet on setting up SSL with IIS so I cant help (yet) on setting this bit up!

or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree??!!
