Hi,

is it possible to export data coming from pub.edb to an .pst file, like we do with exmerge ?

I install a new exchange 5.5 (same site and org) to restore a public folder only, I can see in the resource of public folder, the name of the created folder and the total amount of data, but when I try to access them with Outlook with admin user, I don't see anything.

Thank you

Hi Shelter. The only way that I know of to export the contents of a public folder is by running "import and export" from Outlook.

From what you've written, I think you're almost done with your restore. It just sounds like you might need to run the Consistency Adjuster and home the public folder on your restore server. After that you should be able to get to the contents via Outlook.

Here's part of a restore doc that I wrote that might help:

1. Expand "Site", "Configuration", and "Servers" containers and click on the server
2. Choose “file”, “properties”, and click on the “advanced” tab
3. Click the “Consistency Adjuster” button
4. Under "Public Information Store" click "Synchronize with the directory, and reset the home server value for public folders in unknown sites. See Help for more information."
5. Under “Filter” choose “all inconsistencies”
6. Click “OK”
7. Click “OK” to exit the properties window
8. Next you need to home the public folder on your new site. In Exchange Administrator, expand "Site", "Configuration", "Servers", Your server name".
9. Click on "Public Information Store" and choose "File", "Properties"
10. Click on the "Instances" tab
11. Choose the Public Folder that you are trying to restore and click "Add"
12. Click "OK"
