IS-IT--Management
Hi all,
We are runing a Win 2K proxy server and are having a strange error. We have an internal server on the same subnet running W2003 server and IIS. It is running an internal web-site that only seems to work if you bypass the proxy, therefore disabling your ability to browse the web.
The error we get is:
The requested URL could not be retrieved
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While trying to retrieve the URL:
The following error was encountered:
Unable to determine IP address from host name for bpgs03
The dnsserver returned:
Server Failure: The name server was unable to process this query.
This means that:
The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct.
Your cache administrator is root.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction to resolve this? Putting the IP address in the URL instead of the server name doesn't help, nor does adding that URL in the list to bypass on your web-browser.
Thanks very much!
David.
