I am new to the world of SNMP and I am in the process of implementing it on our office network. I am looking for a thorough flexible product to purchase for the network. There is no previous data as to the monitoring and health of my network as it has never been addressed before. I have been spending as great deal of time with packet sniffers and other network monitoring tools. When I view the results of the packet captures that I set up there are several protocols that I do not immediately recognize and the rest I would also like to have more information on. Do any of you know of a good resource for information on most protocols TCP/IP and others?
