Protocol not support?

Hey everyone i was trying to configure BGP today. And we are using two cisco 2801. When i try to enter a BGP command i get this error message. Any ideas?

You don't have an IOS that supports BGP. What IOS image are you running?

Thanks for the quick reply we are currently on IOS 12.3 is this something new with Cisco for there 2800 and 3800 series routers. Because I have worked on older routers with no problem.

It's not the router, it's the software you're using. IOS has different feature sets depending on your needs. Your routers must have a feature set that does not support BGP. What is name of the image you're running?

IP Base does not support BGP. You need either SP Services, Advanced IP Services, Advanced Enterprise Services, or Advanced Security.
