Hi,

Currently, I have one computer with Backup Exec 9.1 Server installed, and the other computer with Remote Agent installed. At the moment, I performed a full backup of the client computer and the full backup was stored on the computer with Backup Exec 9.1 Server. Then, when I performed IDR, I will restore the backup back from the Server computer. Is it the correct way?

Can I perform the full backup to my LOCAL tape media instead of via the network to the server (Backup Exec 9.1 Server will be installed instead of remote agent in this case)? Since I do such backup to the LOCAL tape media, then, I assume I can perfrom IDR to recover from the local tape instead of via network. This will be the better way?

At the moment, I do not have any tape drive. So, I can't test it out before asking this question. Your advice will be much appreciated. Thank you very much.. :)
