Can't restart server without pressing F1 key:

(can't make remote restart, have to press key at console)

...

Please upgrade firmware on the following drive(s) using Options ROMPaq or ROM Flash Component (dopwnload from
...

Press "F1" Key to continue
Press "F9"! Key for ROM-Based Setup Utility
Press "F10" Key for system partition utilities
Press "F12" Key for PXE boot

After F1 Windows 2000 goes up normaly.

What is the simplest solution to this? Do I have to "update firmware" or there is something simpler than firmware update (never done it).

This has happened after some configuration of storage, I think, but server has not been restarted for a long time
(month or two).

Pressing "F1" is problem because I have to go to server room.

Kind regards

Like it indicates Dubi, it has found a problem and has "asked" you to rectify it. Until you actually upgrade the firmware, you will be prompted.

Don't know if it's still possible but with earlier versions it was possible to disable the F1 prompting with startup so if you have to boot it next time take a peak in your ROM.

Thanks for help.

Our personel responsible for servers made an update.
It was necessary to swap disks in mirror configurations
(didn't ask too much in detail) because simple firmware update didn't work (and they tried few "updates" till find right one).

I run Oracle IAS on it and left job to them after they returned from holiday.

Anyway, once again, thanks a lot.

Kind regards

Dubi
