Hello,

I have two systems where VB5 (SP3) has been installed. I routinely develop on both systems without issue.

On a new project I thought I would use the MS Tab ActiveX Control ver.5. I like this tab because I do not need to place containers on every tab.

On PC #1 it works great. On PC #2 when I attempt to load the project it gives me an error with the tab control sstab tabctl32.ocx) and will not let me use it.

PC #1 References it is loaded as MS Tabbed Dialog Control 5 (sp2). On PC #2 I think it is giving a slightly different name and SP. It is at another location and I cannot confirm at this moment.

1. Does the MS Tab ActiveX Control come with VB5?
2. If yes, how can I get it to work on my second PC?

Thanks,

Michael42

Hey,

You may want to try creating an installer for it using something like ghost installer or install shield, this way you will be able to have the installer make sure that the .ocx file is in the right place. I know that I had a similar problem with VB 6 and that was the only way that we could fix it. However, if you are not ready to create an installer, make sure that you have all of the same components and references turned on in the project editor.

Hope this helps,
Kevin

Thanks for your reply.

As it turned out. The system with this problem was in ruff shape. I reinstalled the OS and VB5 (and sp3) and was able to use this OCX.
