Prohibiting duplicate data rows

hey there was wondering if there was some way from prohibiting duplicate data from entering the sql server database.

Do you mean duplicate in the same field, or duplicate records in the same table? BeckahC

Rows should have primary key, unique index or unique contraint. These will prevent duplication. Primary keys, indexes and constraints can be composite of multiple columns if necessary. Terry L. Broadbent
