I have tried this in other forums but have got no response. This stored procedure is activated from a Microsoft ACcess ADP form.

I am trying to have a progress or status bar show when a store procdure gets executed through a click event. This stored procedure runs for about two minutes. It would be nice if the user could see some sign of life.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Micheal

How are ya traveller4 . . . .

First you need to design a pop-up form that includes the ActiveX ProgressBar Control (I've used Microsoft ProgressBar Control 6.0 SP4).

Your main properties of concern are: Min, Max & Value. You can initialize Min & Max is design view, or in VBA during runtime.

The value property is the key to running the Bar. Typically, a count is derived from a looping routine which updates the Value Property on each loop.

Deriving then Max count (so it runs the length of the bar) is up to you.
