Where can I got to find and remove these.
There are about 7 or 8 copies of Windows Explorer that are for differnt folders
If I log in as Administrator, they don't pop up

any Ideas

Only thing i can think of is to check is msconfig which will display all the things in start up.
Strange that it would open explorer a few time tho.

You can have start up shortcuts in the startup, programs, and start menu.
Each can be deleted or if you're not sure what will happen, put them on
your desktop temporarily. However, don't do anything with virus shortcuts or software that monitors your computer system. Also, you should keep your update
shortcuts unless you know for sure that they will be accessed on a regular
basis or you would not use them.

Directions:
right click start button, hit explore, you then get the start menu, remove the shortcuts, within the start menu go to programs and review the shortcuts there, delete
the ones you don't need to use and then find startup in this folder. click on it and
you will find the last set of shortcuts.

This works for about 95 percent of the programs that start when you boot your machine, others probably are in the registry and there isn't much you can do
unless you know a lot about editing the registry.

Best of Luck

Explorer is probably started due to incomplete references in the startup part of the registry, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Currentversion>RUN.
Use MSCONFIG as recommended by crwpulsar and find file to check the existence of the actual programs.
