Can the Meridian 1 Options 11 be programmed without using the old style terminal. I believe I saw a windows based progam that simplifies programming without using the monitor.
Can the system be programmed via a telephone set like the MICS and CICS?
If you are new to Nortel programming and want to carry out programming as suggested above, then perhaps you might want to read this useful basic admin guide?.
I know there is a company that sells a program that you can use via windows for programming the options 11. I an into another company that has someting for the NEC PBX's.
If you're looking for a GUI interface for the Opt 11c, try MerAssistant. If you want to get rid of the old dumb terminal - just use HyperTerm or ProComm on a PC - connect the serial port to the PBX (the same cable used to connect the dumb terminal).
You cannot program Meridian phones like you can on the Norstar. Has to be done at the terminal - or using one of the above.
Personally I prefer programming via command line (faster).
