Programming incoming line phone number? 2

I am trying to program the telephone number of a new incoming phone number. It is the only phone number that is on Pool B. L049. I have all of the Trunk/Line data set but I cannot get to where you program the actual phone number in for that button on phone 221. Feature*3 didn't work either. Any ideas out there?

you need to program the line in the ext's line access. Depending on the software you have, it will either be in Line Access under Configuration or Line Access under Terminals and Sets. You also must have the line Appear to have it on a button.

The way I read it, you want to program the NAME of the line to the phone number of the line.
Go to Lines, show line 049, hit Next, Name:Line049, hit CHANGE and key in the number, hit next.

If you are on older software, go into General Admin.
Hit next to item 2. NAMES. hit show. Advance to line names, and Show line 049. etc.

The way it's set up on the receptionist phone 221, you hit a line number and that assigned phone number shows up on the screen. When you hit the last line number it say's L049. I want it to show that assigned phone number.

See post above for LINE NAME. That is how you change it from L049 to xxx-xxxx.

I tryed that. It would work if you wanted to add a letter name to it but not a phone number.

It works the same way, but hit the key an extra time to cycle to the number portion. For example: to program 4321, hit the 4 key 4 times, # the 3 key 4 times, # the 2 key 4 times, # and the 1 key once.
