I am setting up several 8410D telephones and instead of programming Directory, Next, Call Display on the programmable buttons, I thought I would save space by programing on the soft keys. When I scroll through the available features for the soft key command line, there is a feature called "directory" however when I enter this feature,I get an error stating that "button type does not meet minimum or maximum requirements". Also, there is no option for "next" or "call display". Does anyone have any insight into this? We have CM4.1

Look on the 4th page of the station form and see if it has a directory button already. I think it is set there by default.

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.

I did look there to find out whether that feature was available since it is not a default for the soft keys.

I have only ever been able to use 'next' and 'call display' as hard buttons. 'directory' can be either.
