Hi Guys,

I am building an Option 11 release 21.35 (to replace an Option 21 that is dying of a slow and painful death) I guess I should say that I am remodeling an Option 11 seeing that it is used.

So they had it setup with some multi site setup, ACD stuff, etc. The trunk stuff is kicking my butt big time. They were using NARS/BARS and other stuff that I understand conceptually. I really need some help finding the stuff I need to OUT and then putting it back in for our fairly simple T1-PRI (one location, everything in and out the same telco T1).

My level of understanding is medium, I think???? I don’t really need some one to do it for me (although that would be nice) but I could use a hand to hold onto when the road gets rough (the outbound path is quite rutty).

Thanks!!!!

I'm not sure how detailed you want to get but here is a start...

1) If applicable, disable the d-channel in LD 96
2) Disable the Loop in LD 60
3) Out the trunks in LD 14
4) Out the Route in Ld 16
5) Out the d-channel in LD 17 under gate opener ADAN
6) Out the loop in LD 17 under gate opener CEQU
7) Rebuild the loop in LD 17 under gate opener CEQU
8) If applicable, build the d-channel in LD 17 under ADAN
9) Build the route in LD 16
10) Build the trunks in LD 14

Things to be aware of and look at:
1) NET data in customer data block. Print in LD 21
2) Clock Controller data. Prt DDB in LD 73. Enable and disable in LD 60.
3) BARS/NARS LDs 86, 87, and 90

Hope this helps.

ld 60 stat, will show you t1's that are built.. ld 21 ltm will show you all your trunk members.. IF you do not want restrictions you can make the acod of your t1 9.. then just use nfrl (ld 49) to build an allow table.. you would not need ld 90, 87 or 86..

ld 22 prt cequ, will show the hardware map of that OLD box..

IF you have the original install and keycodes you can wipe out everthing and start new.. it takes about two full days to program one from scratch.. if you do that, you will know whats built and how it's put together..

you can have dial 9 and dial 8 with restrictions without bars/nars But. bars it way quicker if you need to allow and deny certain types of calls

At the end is my RDB and TRK

@JohnPoole the old system will not let me talk to it at all.

Does it look like I have done it correctly?

Thanks!!

What is "e/m ldr"?

Point of interest - I spent yesterday and today programing the phones that we will need running when we cut over. We did good only a half dozen logic errors out of 130+ phones programed.

I tested it this morning with e and m type trunks and it did not work.

what questions do I ask the telco to find out what variety T-1 we have? When I started on this project a while back I told our rep that I am T-1 challenged and I posted every thing they sent me.

post a LD60 of the loop. WHat else is going on? ALso post a LD73, ddb for us

Unlike the telephone sets themselves I cannot test the T-1 as easily.

I connected the T-1 this morning and the “Red Alarm” did not clear. I could not ENCH the loop when I tested but I could ENCH 4 1.

Thanks again for your help!

do you have a clock controller on the T-1 card? what is the T-1 card part number??

Yes I have the NTAK20 clock controller on my NTAK09 card (and no I don't have the NTAK93 D-channel controller).

Also I have the dip switches set for 533 - 655 feet the same as the repeater that it connects to. DCH F/W is off.

ok, you need to find a loopback plug and loop up your local end and post those results

Loopback passed, I think. Results of stat while loopback plug was plugged in.

ok, so your problem is from that point of the loop back outward.... if you go into a smart jack, call your Telco...

But yes, your post is how a normal T-1 should look when it's up!

This morning I connected the T-1 to the Opt 11. When I dialed 9 (telco is providing dial tone) I get an electronically distorted dial tone - for lack of better description.

We would really prefer to match the current T-1 rather than changing it.

so, the T-1 is up and looks good on your end?? I'd call Telco, that end may need to be bounced!

Bounced? When I reconnect it to the Option 21 it works fine.

Does "bounce" mean something like releasing and renewing an IP address?

bounce is having both ends reset at the same time... Okay, so what's different between the 21 and the 11 in programming?
