I have Acrobat Exchange 3.0, and I use it to 'print' pdf files. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to do this programmatically...

Right now, I have to print the report, then a dialog box appears that asks me for the filename....

Is there a way to do this programattically??

I think the latest version of Acrobat provides automation objects. Otherwise you may be stuck using SendKeys... I know because I had to do it a long time ago with PDFWriter. Ugly, Ugly, Ugly. JHall

jhall i need the same thing. what is an automation object and what do i do with it? do you know code?

Thanks... that website was some help... but unfortunately, I don't have the 'acrobat.tlb' that the only Access database was referenced with... so I can't use it....

remember, I'm still using Adobe Acrobat Exchange 3.0....

I'm working on upgrading, but my company has a hold on all new software, and we have to buy the license before it can be installed....

It looks like that example on the web site was just to open an existing pdf file. i want to automate making my Access reports into pdf files instead of opening each report and 'printing' to Acrobat Distiller or PDFWriter each time. any suggestions?
