On my network with several Citrix servers, I have a problem with profiles. Roaming Profiles aren't used so if you ask me, when you log on to the server with no existing profile on it, it should copy the Default User to your folder in documents and settings.
...That's the theory, but in the real (my) world, you get a profile that is not the default user profile. I've searched the entire c-drive for versions of NTuser.dat and found only 3 outside of other users: All users, Default user and one in c:\winnt\repair. I've checked with the version in the WINNT\repair dir, but that's not the one either.
My question: Where on earth does the profile I get come from and how can I make the server act nomally, that is: copying the default user profile when a new user logs in?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Ok, the problem is slightly different (well actually, it's totally different):
The default user profile gets copied normally, but the setting I checked inside is being overwritten everytime I log in. This must be a policy, but I can't seem to find which one...
Does anyone have a clue which GPO setting can change the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\Shell Folders\Favorites] into c:\WINNT\Favorites?

Thanks

Is the cached user profile removed when you log off and close your session? Our GPO is set for this since we are using Roaming profiles.
