Hi there and thank you in adcance for your help. I have multiple laptops, all with Win XP PRO part of WLAN domain. Now because of the hurricane some of us works home some other offices. When logging on it says that WINDOWS CAN NOT LOG YOU ON BECAUSE WLAN DOMAIN COULD NOT BE FOUND. Is there any way around that to make the computers to work? Half of the laptops do log on but the other half does not.I can login as Administrator any time but we need the individuals profile to work since they have many docs on their profiles. Any help is greatly appreciated

I would log on to the laptops as local administrator and go into the profiles and copy the documents needed to a new folder on the root. Create local user accounts for the users and let them work locally.

Hope this helps...

If you're trying to log into a laptop that is a domain member, but is not connected to the domain, that particular laptop must have your user profile on it. Your user profile also caches a copy of your user credentials, thereby allowing you to login even though you are disconnected from the domain.

The easiest way to deal with this is to connect to the network where the laptop is a domain member, then have the user log into the laptop at least once before taking it home.
