I have been gathering stats for one of our webservers and i have noticed that the processor queue length is a steady 4 and spikes up to 8 and back down to 4 all day. at the same time my processor is showing a constant usage of 3%.
Why is the PQL so high while the proc is not being used? I would understand if they both were high and i would need to start looking for a faster server, but i dont know what is causing what i am seeing and if there is a solution. anybody have any ideas?
The server is a Dell 1650, 1.2 Xeon, 512mb RAM, W2K running IIS.
