Process to processor

I want to be sure four large processes are shared between four processors. How can I tell what processor is doing what ? thanks in advance for any help.

Try browsing the man page of ps. It has a parameter about CPU ID, but I can not remember it by heart.

Also you can try topas. Or the AIX port of the GNU tool: top. The HP-UX version of top can handle CPU IS-s, AIX version should support it as well.

You can use `bindprocessor` to bind a process to a specific processor, which would allow each of the four processes to run on its own processor.

ps -efmo THREAD

does the trick . Its the column before the last (BND)

Strange how its first populated by - but after using bindprocessor it changes to the CPU number.
