In SQL Server 2000-

1. Is there any way to see the Execution Plans cached in Procedure Cache?

2. In what way I/O statistics (from QA) and trace's I/O cost (from Profiler) differs?

Need your help, Thanks!

1. If I understand your question correctly, you can view the execution plan in query analyzer by first selecting the 'Show Execution Plan' option under the Query menu. The latest plan that is loaded into cache should also be the one that is displayed in Query Analyzer.

2. If I understand this question correctly, the reads and write trace events in the profiles correspond to physical reads and writes, not logical reads and writes. Statisistics I/O gives you both physical and logical reads. Tom Davis
