Hi

I'm having some trouble with one of my external DNS-servers. When I run a dig from the outside it will only give me a "no server could be found". If I run an nslookup ti will respond but only if I leave the set vc command out. It responds from the inside though and it looks ok otherwise.

I've tried reaching different domains handeled by the server but it's allways the same.

My first thought was firewall but I checked it and looks ok. Any ideas?

The server is dns1.linkoping.se. Feel free to compare it with dns2.linkoping.se

looks ok to me...where are you running your tests from?

From my PC at home. Are u running dig or nslookup?

Yep, checked it and it looks OK there but still it won't reply correctly to a dig.

Does anyone know what the option set vc(viritual circuit) does in nslookup? How does it affect the question to the DNS-server?
