Problems with Win2000 - Printing

DOS Win2000 wiz kids please help

The network is Novell Netware 5, switch a high speed NetGear, 100Mhz network cards and all machines ping each other at less than 1ms. Windows routines (also mapped; no batch file) are fast.

The PROBLEM IS:
Printing is slow, average 1 minute for printing to a receipt printer Star 300. It's only speed up when I quit the application

The QUESTION IS:
Is there something else I can try to do to speed this up ?

The one suggestion that will make the most ACTUAL difference would be to transition your DOS application to one that at least knows what Windows is and how to talk to it.

While you might be able to improve things to some degree, until you make the transition you will be continually struggling with DOS vs Windows performance issues like this.
