Problems with GICI-Port

Problems with GICI-Port.

We have a customer using BC13 cna 139 , Dna 5.3. NIU software upgraded to R11a. The GICI-port status is DOWN between the NIU and DNA server. this has been intermittent for a few months now.

The solution as stated in the Ericsson Knowledgebase is below:

"Fixed with NIU firmware.

Solved by updating NIU to FW release R10A."

But we are already on R11a yet the port is still DOWN. Anyone has any ideas?

Hi All,

I have got this figured out. It was the Windows Firewall blocking the GICI-port. But the port goes DOWN even if I have added it to the firewall exceptions. Unless I turn off Windows firewall completely, it doesn't work.
