Problems with a user's phone 1

Hi

I am having a problem with a user's phone. I checked the settings on the switch for the DN it seems fine. I checked the cables they seem cross-connected OK. I tested the phone by plugging it into another available jack, the phone works fine on the other jack.

The phone was working fine a couple of days ago, no one has changed anything or even touched the switch or the cabling.
Very strange!!!!!


Yet when the phone is plugged into the user's phone jack i do not get a dial tone, and the date appears as Jan 1, 2002. All other phones are working fine.

Can someone suggest where to look. I am not a trained with phone systems, so any basic information will be helpful.

Check to see if the TN is disabled. Go into LD 32
commands are: STAT tn; ENLU tn (Enable TN); DISU tn (Disable TN). use "****" to exit LD 32. These commands can also be entered at the REQ: prompt in LD 20.
