Good day to everyone,

I just have encountered a problem when printing the forms Ive created. Sub-forms that contain no data are not showed when I try to print them. Only the sub-form which has an entry is showed.

I have created three subforms and when only one subform has an entry, then the rest are not showed, it looks so hollow in the middle. Is there a way that I could still show a subform even though there is no entry on it?????

Please help...

Luchelle

I find that if you place the header information for the sub reportson th main form and then set the sub reports "CanGrow and Can Shrink Values to YES then the report will look more substantial when there is not Data. ( Impress the Boss with NOTHING! ) sounds like a good Idea.

Hi bitmite,

You mean, when I create the report? What I am trying to do is printing the form itself.[bigcheeks]

Can u also give me suggestions, which is a better?

I am just a beginner.

Thanks!
Luchelle

Do the exact same with the form as I explained with the report.

Form:
_________________________________
|
| Test _____________
|
| SubForm
| Test2
| -----------------------------
| | ___________
| |
| -----------------------------
|
|________________________________

in this case the label "Test" and it text box is on the main form. Then the Sub Form Title label in on the main form along with the "Test2" label for the data in the sub form.

This means when you creat the sub form do not have and labels in it just text boxes, list boxes, etc.

then in the main form on the SubForm Control (not the sub form but the control you place on the main form) set the CanGrow and CanShrink to True.

When you print the form if there is no data in the subform the subform will disapear and bring up what is below it but the label will be left there so you maintain the original look of the form.

Although this will work I strongly recoment making a report to do this becase reports were made to be printed so you hav ealot more control on how they look when coming out of the printer then a form does.

since you are a beginner I sould set you on the right track to start. Trust me with printing forms the more complicated you go the more a pain in the ass it is to print out the form and have it look right.
