Here is an example of my data:
Species Date %
Ash 8/5/06 25
Ash 9/7/06 3
Cherry 5/7/06 7
Beech 7/15/06 12
Beech 8/20/06 6
Beech 9/12/06 17

I need the date to be on the x axis and the % to be on the y. I then need a line for each different species in the same graph. I just keep getting stuck...please help!! Thanks in advance!

Well...I've created a pivot table, but for some reason I can only get it to plot the dots like a scatter chart. It won't "connect the dots" with lines. I tried changing the chart type and it skews the data. Is there anyway to get this to work?

You could also...
[tt]
Species Date % Ash Beech Cherry
Cherry 5/7/2006 7 0 0 7
Beech 7/15/2006 12 0 12 0
Ash 8/5/2006 25 25 0 0
Beech 8/20/2006 6 0 6 0
Ash 9/7/2006 3 3 0 0
Beech 9/12/2006 17 0 17 0
[/tt]
where the formula in the last 3 columns is
[tt]
d2: =SUMPRODUCT(($C$2:$C$7)*($B$2:$B$7=$B2)*($A$2:$A$7=D$1))
[/tt]
add last 3 columns to your chart -- COPY, select chart, Edit/Paste Special - New Series
