Problems Connecting to Queries from an Access database

Access XP Visual Basic 6

I have set up a text box to display the value of a query from a database. I can connect to the database, and can take field values from any of the tables, my problem occurs when I attempt to use a query as the Record Source. Visual Basic complains displaying a message box with the error "invalid operation". It only occurs with queries does anyone have an idea? thanks

Not enough information. Try e-mailing me the complete program and database (if all combined < 3 Meg and I will take a look.
