problems connecting asp to informix 9

i have already conected to informix 7,
from the windows 2003 server,
so now i am trying to make that connection
but to informix 9......

do i have to change my conn string?
do i need to change my client driver...?

the thing that happens to me, if i check the
db server, it receives the query, and it executes it....

but after that my page stucks and remains loading, and loading, and loadin...
with out show me any error.....

any suggestion?

according to the syntax guidlines for 7 and 9 there were no needed changes via dsn-less connections
eg:

however if the page is loading in that fasion it seems like a loop out of control. has anything changed as far as fields and such that would cause the system to get stuck searching for a column
