I got a new 40gig drive. I've created a partition and formatted the drive. When I install win98 it gets to the preparing setup and counts to 100% and then hangs on me. Swapped Ram and removed network card still same error

Are you sure the partition you created is a primary partition and is made active? All things are possible except skiing through a revolving door.

Solved the problem! It was my stiffy drive that was shot. My BIOS didnt report it so Win98 tried to read the drive. Disabled the drive in BIOS and Problem Solved! Thanks for the input!!
