All,

I have read all the posts, about picking up a call on a bridged appearance, then transferring it directly to the user voice mail box, but I can't seem to make it work. I've tried the feature access code and transferring directly to Audix, using a station number routing to an auto attendant in Audix.

Now for my real problem. The boss’s admin has 2-bridged appearances of the bosses phone on her phone, button 1 and button 2. If the boss is on line 1 and a call comes in on line 2, the admin answers the call and wants to transfer the caller to the bosses voice mailbox. The admin will hit the transfer button, the boss's line 2 goes on hold, she than tries the feature access code, dials his extension number, and hits transfer again, but the transfer is not complete, the caller is still on hold. The boss's line is also still showing on hold. I have tried the same thing using a station to transfer to and Audix auto attendant, but that doesn't work either.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Set up the bosses’ phone with 2 call appearances. Have the coverage path on his/her phone go to the secretary on say 3 rings or if he/she is busy and make Audix the second point. The phone will roll to the secretary and she can do the transfer (??) transfer and it will go to his voicemail box. ??= direct transfer to Audix access code. If she is picking up his phone off a bridged appearance, she is already on his line so she cannot transfer to audix.

Hope this helps

U must have a link for the feature code to work. I still don't know if it will work on a bridged appearance, but she will have to grab one of her own call appearances after pressing the transfer button, then she does the feature code, then transfer again.
Tranfer to audix is usually used when a call reaches a extension by coverage.

Step 1 - on the station screen for both the boss and the admin, change the field Auto Select Any Idle Appearence to YES.

Then just had the admin press the TRANSFER button to put the caller on hold, dial the extension for the Audix Auto-Attendant, dial the extension of the boss at the prompt, and press TRANSFER again to send the call away. I'm not sure which Feature Access Code you are referring to in your example.

He is reffering to the "tranfer to audix" feature code, I believe.

Ahhhh - that would make sense. I'll take this as a sign that I need more caffine.

Susan!!! Didn't u hear the president say "just say no to drugs"???
I have never seen anyone use the "transfer to audix" feature on a bridged appearance, but who knows, maybe it is possible?
I would just make his station say to reserve the call appearance on his second appearane, then the call would go to coverage, then the assistant can pick it up in coverage

It is possible, we do it all the time.

First you have to have your fac in the Transfer to Voice Mail Access Code: field on page 3

Then when you answer the call you hit transfer then select another call appearance hit your fac then transfer.

ie my fac is #0

I get a call on a bridge appear, I hit transfer #0 transfer and it goes right to the voicemail.

g3rguy has got it.

subtech, the problem was, dialing the transfer code and then the extension number. Use just the transfer code.
