I put this in a while back with a different title and got no replies. Just trying again!

This applies to VB5, but I think I have the same problem with VB6.
My programme is using tabpro3 which will not register on some pc's. Farpoint say I must install MFC42 and MSVCRT. MFC42 is being used by something or other and I can not update it, and I know I have had awful problems copying MSVCRT before.
Files like oleaut and olepro require a reboot to update them. Does anyone know how I can change the setup.lst produced by the deployment wizard thing so that MFC42 and MSVCRT require a reboot if they need updating.

Thanks. That all looks a bit of a pain. I'm told the Wise installation manager does this. A friend is going to try it for me.

Wise is very good. We have it here at work. If you need any extra stuff (MFC42 and MSVCRT, etc..) wise installs them and does a reboot, then comes back and continues with the installation.

Hope this helps... They never have to knock if your door is always open.
