Problem with sub-form disappearing

Hi there,

I've designed a form that has 3 nested sub-forms. I'm having a problem when I switch to a new record in the main form, then switch between records in the 2nd sub-form, and then switch back to the previous record in the main form...the problem is that the 1st sub-form just disappears. I designed the whole thing in design view using properties boxes and wizards so I don't have any code other than for some command buttons. I've checked my child and parent links and I'm certain that's not the problem. Any ideas?

Hi JJ,

Try moving to the next main form record and then moving back to the original main-form record. Does this still happen?

If not, it really sounds like a child-parent link issue.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I was unable to figure out what the problem was but I did finally get the form to work by just rebuilding it from scratch. I'm 99.9% certain it was not a child-parent link problem...I had the other guys in the office come over to confirm it just in case I was missing it. One thing I did when making that form though was use a pre-existing subform that contained subforms 2 & 3 (subform 1 was the one that kept disappearing when I switched records in 2 or 3) and I think that somehow was the problem. When I rebuilt the entire form, I just redesigned all the subforms from scratch and it worked perfectly. Anyways, like I said though, thanks for the reply.
