I am having problems getting the SMTP emailing to work on Embedded VM. On a VM PRO it works with no problems. I assume it has something to do with IP Route's, but I can't figure it out...
Use System Status application - IP Networking - there is a ping utility. See if you can ping your email server. That will confirm route issue.
Also - in system monitor there are some filters on the CALL tab (I think) that deal with embedded VM. The email text within monitor are in a different font size - making it easy to spot.
Finally - be sure to really ring the phone during testing. At first, I tested by leaving myself a message from the phone associated with the destination voicemail. They never went to email...

I have looked, but have not implemented it yet. I do know that you will need to define the mail server address and log on under the system tab. I am unclear if you are required to set up DNS also.

SMTP
For IP Office Manager 6.2, the configuration settings for the IP Office control units SMTP function have been moved from the System | System Events tab to this separate tab. This reflects the fact that SMTP can be used for IP Office functions other than just system events reporting.
· For IP Office 3.2+, SMTP can be used as the method of sending for System Events.
· For IP Office 4.2+, SMTP can be used with Embedded Voicemail for Voicemail Email.

1.) upgrading Embedded VM? I haven't found anything about upgrading Embed. VM in documentation.
Isn't upgrade performed when you upgrade control unit?
It seems i've missed something
2.) yes, I've entered all needed settings in SMTP tab
You always need to upgrade the prompts
The card comes with 3.2 files and in 4.0 the AA changed froim 4 to 40 so there where major changes

There is still one thing, I thought it would also be solved with prompt upgrade.
when I record a AA greeting with *8101 shorcode, It can't be heard from outside callers, menu selection works.
