Hi;
I have a report that contains three sub reports. when the report opens in the crystal viewer the first two sub reports load right away . but the third report is out to lunch loading!

If i page thought after first page loads from 1 to the last page contain the third sub report it will display properly.
However, the report is full diplayed but it appears that it's still try to load somthing!!!!!

However, if i click on last page buton after the the first page appears if goes out to lunch and crash the page server!

If I do nothing and just let it load it goes out to lunch.
and crash the page server.

Does any one have any idea to whats happen here.

Many thanks in advance.
Dave

Is there anything different about this subreport as opposed to the other 2?
If you delete this subreport the behavior goes away?
What if you change it's position with one of the other 2 subreports?

Thanks Ken;

I remove each sub report one at time and found that i had linking problem.

solution was to remove all links and and report ran as designed with sub reports.

Again thanks for puting me on the right track.

On another post you might have some insight on.
I have a cross tab report that repeats self multiple times at different pages with partial data in each cross tab.
the first twevle pages are fine page 13 acts as description above. pages 19,20,21 are duplicates of 18 with same proble as above.

Have you or any one else run into this? How do you work around this?

Any Insight to this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

Go to design and tell us which section the cross-tab is in. You probably want it in the report header but may have put it in the group header. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

I had the cross-tab in the group footer because i wanted a new page for each year with the cross-tabe showing the 12 months of data. this worked for the first 12 pages

jan01 feb01....
aaaa 5 120
bbbb 75 145
cccc 225 25

But when I put it in the report header the crosstab takes duplicate cross-tabs pages for the first year with all fields showing 0 for data. On the 9th page the real data appears.

If you want a page break for each year than you DO want to put it in the Group Footer. I would start another thread for this and make sure you post what your group field is, and what exactly is duplicating. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
