I have a windows 2000 network client and server - my problem is when i rename a windows 2000 pc (change the computer name by logging onto that pc, right clicking on my computer, properties and rename pc) the name change goes through alright but once i reboot and try to log onto the network again is gives an error saying that the computer account does not exist or bad password. I have checked on the server and the computer account has been created, does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Remove the computer from the domain and join a Workgroup. Then attempt to rejoin the domain. You should get prompted for a domain admin username/password, and you'll be able to join just fine.
