Hi,
This one has me stumped. I have a Vista Business PC which is running SP1 on a domain in a remote office. We use port 3390 to remote into it. Its been working for about a year. Yesterday we learned that we cannot remote into this Vista PC from anohter Vista PC, however we can from a comptuer running Windows XP. Basically Vista to Vista dosn't work, XP to Vista works. We can remote into other Vista comptuers on that network. The windows firewall is off, even though port 3390 is open on that computer.
The error message is:
"This computer can't connect to the remote comptuer.
Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator."
I have tried installing updates, restarting, disableing remote access, restating, enabling remote access, restarting terminal service serivces, disabling antivirus (avast), disabling network discovery. Yea...
The layout is.
Remote office:
Domain Controller
Vista Pc1 Port 3390
Vista Pc2 Port 3391
Vista Pc3 Port 3389
My Office
Vista PC1
Vista PC2
XP PC1
I am trying to remote from my office to vista pc1 at the remote office. It works on the XP Pc at my office but not from any of the Vista PC's at my office or the remote office. There is no VPN just normal internet between the office's. There are no other network or internet issues at either office, or any changes to the group poliy.
Anyone have any ideas?
