problem with recursive expression
I have 2 columns (GAP and Accumlted) in a report . The value in the field Accumlted is :
GAP(from the current Record) + Accumlted from previous record.
When the calculation is used with the fuction "PREVIOUS", i get a LOOPING error. What is the solution to this problem?

Can you give us the exact syntax of the cell.

Also, make sure you give us the definition of the components of the formula.

<Gap> + Previous(<GAP>) should work.

Also, don't forget about the RunningSum function. That may be what you really want.
