Software:

Visual Studio 2005
XP SP2

Problem:

I've been working on a project for some time now and the files are located on the server.

I'd already set up the trust and it worked fine, until this morning.

I've deleted the trusts I'd set up and tried again.

The trust is set up under Runtime Security Policy>Machine>All_Code

I've called it Server_Location.

I've set it up as a URL with the url of file://my-server/*

I've tried file:// and file:\\ and even file:\\//, all without success, it just will not work anymore.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Reply,

I fixed it.

What I have to do is use the exact same path as shown in the error dialog

For example, the error dialog says there is a problem with U:/VSProjects/Your Project then you create a trust for that folder.

Why? I don't know, but that works. A separate trust for each project
