I’m using the Picture Manager that comes with Office 2003 and have a very wired problem.

I can open a picture and select ‘Edit Pictures’ but if I click on ‘Brightness and Contrast’ and move the slider bar left or right (or even enter a figure) when I move my mouse off the slider it resets back to zero thus not making the changes to the photo.

The computer this happens on is a shared company and other users of this computer do not have any problems. (I have checked the users permissions levels and that the photo is not read only – it happens with any image)

Computer is running Windows XP+SP2 including all the latest patches.

Office 2003 installed – fully patched via the office update website.

I’ll answer my own thread:

This is an issue if the user and computer names are the same and the user is not part of the local administrator group.
