Problem with DataList font color (fore color)

Hi Everyone,

I'm having an issue with my datalist font color. What I need is alternate fore and back coloring. The back color is working but the font color(forecolor) is not.

itemstyle forecolor: black
itemstyle backcolor: light blue

alternate forecolor: white
alternate backcolor: dark blue

I'm not sure why my font colors aren't working. I'm even using the property builder dialog box.

Has anyone else had this problem?
