Problem with ASA4.0

I'm trying to install ASA 4.0 on a user's PC. The installation appears to run fine, however when I try to launch the application nothing happens.

I've opened task manager and tried the launch...I see ASA.exe appear briefly and then quickly disappear...

Anyone have any ideas?

Windows does not volunteer error messages when programs have problems starting.
* start a cmd window (click "start", "run", enter "cmd")
* cd to the directory containing ASA
* manually start ASA
There should be some readable error messages
