Just acquired a client that has a Prologics.
Exterior modem to get into the system is not functioning properly.
The modem itself works, but I cannot get into the system.
Would the problem be with one of the cards or the Prologics carrier?

The dip switches on the external modem usually have to be set correctly. Have you checked these? Is the "AA" auto-answer light lit?

Is the modem answering?

I have had to force my modem to a 9600 baud connection on these systems in the past using Hays modem commands, but if your modem is not answering...

If the modem you are using to access the prologix supports hays commands,

ats37=x will lock in the baud rate. Issuing a ats37=9 before dialing the modem number will force your modem to connect at 9600 baud.

9,600 = 9

14,400 = 11

19,200 = 11

24,000 = 28

28,800 = 15

do you get a login: prompt when you call the prologics modem and the modem answers and handshakes with the calling modem?
