I am having a problem trying to concatenate data on a report that is run from a query.
I want to have the city, state concatenate....

=([city] & ", " & [state])

when i change the field on the report from city to =city

when running the report, it asks for city as a parameter...
what can i do to stop...it works with just simple fieldname

can someone help me.... the query uses two tables but it works without the '='.

There may be some data binding confusion between the report TextBox name "city" and the query Column name "city" in your design. Try changing the report TextBox name that concatenates the two fields to a different name, such as "txtCityState", and set its Control Source to "=([city] & ", " & [state])".
