Amigos,

Something really strange hapend. After a hardware upgrade (motherboard, processor, RAM, HD) all tapes, recorded before it, are not recognized.
It starts the "recovering" procedure and quit (time out, maybe).
It doesn´t happens with any tape recorded after the upgrade.

Does anybody knows what to do?

Thnks,

when you say HD does this mean you have upgraded s/w vers as well and if so has the serial number of the logger changed. Have you also ugraded the dat drives DDS2 to DDS3?

As biglebowski was saying about the serial number, if the SN changed you need to add the old SN to the database for version 8 or above or the administration application for version 7.x and below.

Amigos,

The sw version is the same. the HD upgrade was from 1000 hours to 4000 hours of recordings.
The tape deck hasn´t changed: DDS3.

I´ll check if the S/N has changed (i think it is).

Got any other ideas?

Thnks

the only time the tape should be recovering is if the index file is lost/damaged on the tape (if tapes are stored incorrectly or manually ejected). If the logger number changes the tape will load but will display no calls until you select "analyze external media". Ask your maintainer to compare the old and new config files - bsrvcnfg etc to see if anything has changed or failing that replace the dat drives
