For some time when I tried to publish I got the message, "Server unexpectedly closed the connection." I tried publishing only 1 or 2 files at the time, and they went successfully. Now, however, I get the message when I try to publish only 1 file. Another person in the company can publish the whole site without the message. It seems to be only MY problem. Any ideas?

I'm using the same FrontPage 2002 that the other person who is successful in publishing is using. My operating system is Windows 98.
Thanks for replying.

I'm using Internet Explorer 5.

When you say Operating System and FP patched, do you mean receiving a patch from MS for each? Or are they somehow patched together?

Also, just in case it was a problem with space on my computer, I deleted MANY graphics files. Before I deleted them, I had 2.85 Gigabytes available. AFTER deleting them, AND emptying the recycling file, I still have 2.85 Gigabytes!!!

Yes - go to - this will scan your system for updates / patches. At the top, on the left, you will see Office Updates. This will scan your office programs for updates.

You might need to re-boot or run scandisk as well & possibly a defrag.

I had this same problem...Try checking your modem settings to see if it is set to disconnect after a certain time. Good Luck!
