We are facing this problem on couples of site. It’s related to Cpp 4 call servers.

SW rls - 4.5
CPU type - CP P4

Problem description: One of Cpp 4 stops responding after couple of days. When we reboot CPU card is comes up properly and start SYNC and becomes redundant.

Systemtype: CS1000M/E , Meridian Option 61C

There is a Nortel bulletin for bad compact flash cards that were packaged with the CP-PIV card a while back. You might want to check the cards and make sure they are not the same type as the ones listed. I have the PDF if you want I could send it to you, or you could try to find it on Nortel's website

I saw this as well. Fought Nortel for months on this. I tried to tell them it was a bad CP card, but they wouldn't listen.

After 3 months of fighting with them, we had them take a trip to the installation site with a senior engineer and sales engineer. After three days of trying to figure out what happened, the both agreed that it was a bad CP card. It was replaced and no issues since.

Good Luck.

John

All the latest patches have been applied with the same result, cheers

a12ozbottle: can you let me know what the pdf file name please so I can check on the nortel website, cheers..

John, can you let me know what release was the bad CP4 card and what release card do you have now..cheers

I don't remember and the switch is in Alaska, at Ft. Wainwright. I just know that we had the issue you seem to be having.
