Nice to meet you.

The backup using Image Option is acquired with Windows2000server and ARCserve v11.

If restore of which the unit is the file is done, it becomes the performance of 30% or less compared with a usual backup.
This is a problem of confirming it with two or more servers.

What should I do for the performance improvement?
My best regards.

I think that is normal since the image tachnology is not used for restore.

If you are using a RAID controller on your source/destination, you may also want to look at the caching setup. Most controllers out of the box come with a 75% read/25%write cache ratio, some also have read cache but no write cache, especially the cheaper on-board ones

Thanks

I'm not good at English.
My explanation was not good.

Compared with Restore of a usual backup As for Restore at
each file of the image backup, the performance deteriorates.
This is an opinion of the Computer Associates Co..
However, how the performance decreases doesn't obtain to answer.

Thanks again
