problem installing CF5 and Windows XP Pro

Hi, has anyone had problems installing CF5 under Windows XP Pro? I've tried CF4.5 and CF5 and neither of them install completely. CF4.5 seems to install, but gets hung at the very end on "updating registry settings" -- no matter how long I wait it never finishes. CF5 does the same thing. I've re-installed XP, IIS, and CF numerous times and nothing works, can't get CF Admin to come up or anything else. Has anyone had a problem like this? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

What's your computer specs, ram, processor, etc? XP requires 128 mb of ram to run (actually it will run on 64 but the simplest tasks take up to a minute or more..).

I have a:

Sony VAIO Digital Studio
1.6 Mhz Pentium
512 MB RAM

Initially it had XP Home and I upgraded to XP Pro so I could install CF. So far I can't get 4.5 or 5 to work. Any help appreciated, thanks!

Definitely has the power to run it... Download a registry cleaner? Has the system ever had a CF version on it before..?

I ran chkdsk and defrag, then re-installed it and it's working...thanks!
